Functions: 
Parking brake: The valve may also be involved in engaging and releasing the trailer's parking brake.
Air pressure control: The primary function of the valve is to regulate the flow of compressed air to the trailer's braking system.
Emergency braking: In case of an emergency, the valve can activate the trailer's brakes independently from the towing vehicle's brakes.
Service braking: During normal braking, the valve ensures proper distribution of air pressure to both the towing vehicle and trailer brakes for coordinated stopping.
