  • Wheel speed monitoring: The ABS sensors monitor the rotational speed of each wheel. If a wheel starts to lock up, its rotational speed will decrease rapidly.
    
  • Emergency braking: In the event of a sudden braking situation, the modulator valve can help to prevent the wheels from locking up by rapidly reducing the braking force.
    
  • Brake pressure control: When the ABS sensors detect that a wheel is starting to lock up, the modulator valve reduces the braking force to that wheel. This prevents the wheel from locking up and helps to maintain steering control.
