8-12573-721-0 | Isuzu® Oxygen Sensor

• Weight: 3 lbs
• Functions:

  • Catalyst monitoring: The oxygen sensor can also be used to monitor the health of the catalytic converter.
  • Fuel efficiency: The oxygen sensor also plays a role in improving fuel efficiency. By ensuring that the engine is operating at the optimal air-fuel ratio, the sensor helps to prevent fuel waste and improve overall fuel economy.
  • Emission control: The primary function of the oxygen sensor is to monitor the oxygen content in the exhaust gases. This information is used by the engine control module (ECM) to adjust the air-fuel ratio of the engine. By maintaining an optimal air-fuel ratio, the catalytic converter can effectively reduce harmful emissions such as nitrogen oxides (NOx) and carbon monoxide (CO).
