  • Length: 29.489" center to end
• Functions:

  • Transfers steering force: The drag link assembly is the link that transmits the force generated by the steering gear when you turn the steering wheel. This force is translated into a lateral movement of the drag link.

  • Connects steering gear to wheels: The tie rods at each end of the drag link connect it to the steering gear on one side and the steering arm on the front axle on the other. This creates a rigid connection that allows the turning force to be directed to the wheels.

  • Controls wheel direction: By translating the steering gear's rotation into lateral movement, the drag link assembly ultimately controls the direction of the front wheels. When you turn the steering wheel, the drag link moves the wheels in the corresponding direction, allowing you to steer the vehicle.
