An Exhaust Gas Recirculation Valve is a critical part of the emissions control unit of an engine. Its purpose is to reduce the amount of nitrogen oxide emissions by recirculating a portion of the exhaust gases back into the engine's combustion chamber. The Valve consists of a solenoid valve and a valve body, which are connected to the engine's intake and exhaust unit. When the valve is open, a portion of the exhaust gases is allowed to flow back into the engine's intake manifold, where it mixes with the incoming air-fuel mixture.
