1. What is it?

Part is the primary mechanical pump in the vehicle's air conditioning system. Driven by the engine's accessory belt via an electromagnetic clutch, it pressurizes and circulates R-134a refrigerant through the A/C loop to cool and dehumidify the cab.

2. Core Functions & Technical Features

• Refrigerant Compression: Compresses low-pressure gaseous refrigerant into a high-pressure, high-temperature vapor before sending it to the condenser.

• Sanden Wobble-Plate Design: Built on Sanden's heavy-duty wobble-plate platform, providing smooth operation, low parasitic drag on the engine, and long service life.

• 12V Electromagnetic Clutch: Utilizes an integrated 12V clutch assembly with a multi-groove pulley designed for severe-duty truck belt drive systems.

• Pre-Filled PAG Oil: Comes factory-charged with the correct volume of PAG oil to lubricate internal pistons, seals, and shaft bearings.

1. Warm or Insufficient Air Flow from Cab Vents

• Symptom: Warm or ambient air blows through the vents even with the A/C turned to maximum cold setting.

• Cause: Internal piston wear, loss of pumping efficiency, or insufficient refrigerant pressure build-up.

2. Loud Metallic Squealing, Grinding, or Rattling Noises

• Symptom: Loud grinding or squealing noises whenever the A/C clutch engages, or a constant rumbling from the front accessory drive.

• Cause: Worn clutch hub bearings, loose pulley assembly, or disintegrating internal pistons and wobble plate.

3. Clutch Fails to Engage or Disengage

• Symptom: The compressor clutch plate does not spin when the A/C is switched on, or remains permanently locked to the pulley.

• Cause: Burnt-out 12V electromagnetic clutch coil, incorrect air gap clearance, or blown A/C system fuse/relay.

4. Visible Refrigerant / PAG Oil Leaks

• Symptom: Oily residue, dirt buildup, or green fluorescent dye visible around the compressor front shaft seal or body joints.

• Cause: Hardened, cracked internal O-rings, blown body gaskets, or a failing front main shaft seal.
