  • Wheel speed monitoring: The ECU continuously monitors the rotational speed of all four wheels using the wheel speed sensors.
    
  • Brake pressure modulation: When the ECU detects that a wheel is on the verge of locking up (skidding), it activates the solenoid valves to reduce the hydraulic pressure to that wheel. This prevents the wheel from locking up, maintaining steering control and reducing stopping distances.
