  • Emergency braking: In the event of a loss of air pressure, the kit is designed to activate an emergency braking system.
    
  • Parking brake: The kit may also be used to control the parking brake, which is applied to hold the vehicle in place when parked.
    
  • Pressure control: The relay valve regulates the air pressure that is sent to the brake chambers. When the driver depresses the brake pedal, the valve is activated, allowing air to flow to the brake chambers. The pressure regulator ensures that the air pressure is maintained at a safe level, preventing the brakes from locking up.
